Privacy policy

Last updated: 10 October 2026

This policy explains how Humidity Helper ("we", "us") handles personal data when you use humidityhelper.co.uk. We aim to collect as little as possible.

Who we are

Humidity Helper is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. You can contact us at business@molthur.com.

What we collect

When you browse the site

Our hosting provider processes technical information needed to deliver and secure the website, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This is kept in short-lived server logs and is not used to identify you. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — for example, which pages are visited, how people arrive at them, whether our calculators are used and which retailer links are clicked. We don't send anything you type into our calculators, only broad result categories.

Google Analytics runs with Google Consent Mode. Unless you have agreed to analytics cookies, it sets no cookies and sends only limited, cookieless signals (such as that a page was viewed), which Google uses for aggregated reporting. Our lawful basis for this limited measurement is our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used. If you agree to analytics cookies, Google Analytics can also use cookies and an online identifier; our lawful basis for that is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

When you email us

If you contact us, we use your email address and message to reply. We keep correspondence only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry, and no longer than two years. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding.

When you click an affiliate link

Links to Amazon.co.uk include our affiliate tag. When you click one, Amazon may set cookies to record that you came from our site. We don't receive any information that identifies you — only aggregated reports of qualifying purchases. Amazon's own privacy notice applies once you're on its site.

Sharing your data

We don't sell personal data. We share it only with the service providers described above (hosting, Google), or where required by law. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK, under safeguards approved under UK data protection law.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email us. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Changes

We'll update this page if our practices change, and show the date of the latest update at the top.
